I Heart Faces - Dramatic B&W

This week's theme at I Heart Faces is Dramatic B&W.

I kinda like drama so this is fun...

Here's one of my favorite black & white images...I shot this last year as the bridesmaids were helping the bride carry her stuff to the formal posing area...I can't really pinpoint what it is I like so much...probably just the entire feel of the photo...enjoy!

I Heart Faces ~ Angles

The theme this week at I Heart Faces is Angles.

Well of course I love shooting at weird angles all the time so this was fun...the hard part is picking which photo to use~

I chose this one of Princess...no cropping was done, this is sooc as far as the angle is concerned...I used Coffeeshop Vivid 2 on the Bright option for the post processing.

I Heart Faces ~ Bundle Up

This week's theme at I Heart Faces is Bundle Up!

Since I'm such a stinkin' wimp and don't like the cold I have very few shots when snow is involved!
But I did manage to snap this one of Wild Child a few weeks ago when I actually ventured to the park and the snow was up to my knees!  Enjoy~
{I used Coffeeshop Sun Kissed action on this one}

I Heart Faces ~ Kisses!

This week's theme at I Heart Faces is KISSES!

Although I had plenty of "technologically correct" photos to choose from, I'm kinda liking this one I took  a few days ago of myself & my Princess.

This was taken with my phone camera....which I rarely use but my kids love it!

I Heart Faces ~ Texure Theme

The theme at I Heart Faces this week is "Texture".

Hmmmm.....wonder if I have any photos using texture????

The focus I believe is using texture in unique and interesting ways in photos with faces.
I think this photo represents unique & interesting....it's one of my favorites~

Bubbles

The theme for the I Heart Faces contest this week is Bubbles!
First of all, I double pinky swear that I did NOT photoshop that bubble in the shot!!
I just got lucky when I was shooting the kids playing with bubbles at a soccer game.
Gotta love that tongue stickin' out...such intensity!
Personally, I think Nike should use this shot for one of their ads and pay me lots of money...if any of you know somebody at Nike, will you please pass this photo along?  I'd appreciate it!

Fix-It-Friday

This is always a fun experiment...I don't really try to "fix" them, more like just have fun and give a totally different perspective.
Here's the original...way too busy background:
Here's my contribution...still a busy background but a little bit spunkier!

It's Pets Week!

Here's my contribution for the I Heart Faces "Pets" theme.
This is Ms. Scooter chillin out with Wild Child.  I love the look on contentment on both their faces.

Sports In Action!

This weeks theme at I Heart Faces is "Sports In Action!".
Of the <millions> of photos I've taken of my boys playing soccer, I believe this one of Rebel will forever be my favorite.
Determination
There's no mistake - he's got DETERMINATION written all over that face!
I motion blurred the background just a bit to really make him pop out. If I were the other team I would Get Out of His Way!

Wedding Bells

This week's theme is Wedding Bells!
Since I just shot my cousin's wedding I thought this theme would be a fun one to participate in.
Of course I was scared out of my shorts to actually be responsible for someone's entire wedding album, but with a bride this beautiful, how could I go wrong?
Lovely

Fix It Friday!

Here's my contribution to Fix-It Friday at I Heart Faces.
I've actually not "fixed" anything...just had fun changing it around.
With a guy as cute as this one there's nothing to fix!
Here's the original:
I worked in photoshop elements and softened the skin just a bit with Coffeeshop PowderRoom2 - and brightened the eyes just a little, not much.
- then I ran the Coffeeshop Vintage action on it.
- then I added a texture
- then I just kept clicking on the blend modes and playing around with opacity of the texture
(sorry, I wasn't keeping track...didn't think I would actually end up posting this!)
Here's my edit:

Let's Hear It For The Boys!

Here's my entries for the I Heart Faces weekly Photo Challenge.  This week, in honor of Father's Day, the theme was Let's Hear It For The Boys!
You'd think with 3 male creatures I'd have archives full of fabulous boy shots.  I spent lots of time last week looking for the perfect boy shot and got nothin'!  Then this weekend I snapped this one of Wild Child in one of his calmer moments and just absolutely love it.
picnic
It's completely technically wrong...it's very noisy, his hair is "blown" out with no detail, the sun flare was not intentional and the color was realllly bad.
All that aside, isn't he just beautiful?  (please don't tell him I called him beautiful!)
I snapped another technically incorrect photo of my brother and his dog but it makes me happy to look at it.  This one is for the Adults category.
Happy
If you haven't checked out the I Heart Faces site you need to take a look. It's a great place for inspiration and even amateurs like myself can join in the fun!
